Legal Framework

Supporting the infrastructure usage model of the Green Cold Energy Network. This page presents the core legal position of JERT, the platform terms of use, the privacy logic of the wallet and website environment, and access to the draft legal opinion.

Legal Position Summary. JERT is structured as a digital infrastructure coordination unit used to support access to energy, compute and logistics capacity across the network. JERT is not presented as a financial instrument, security, investment product, or payment system.

Terms of Use

Access, Responsibility, and Platform Conditions

The JERT wallet and related interfaces are provided for access to the network environment and its infrastructure-related functions. By using the wallet, website, or related services, the user agrees to these terms and acknowledges the infrastructure nature of the system.

  • Eligibility. Users must act lawfully and be permitted to use the service under applicable law.
  • User responsibility. Users remain responsible for their device security, credentials, wallet access, and lawful conduct.
  • No guarantees. Access to the platform is provided on an as-available basis without guarantees of uninterrupted operation.
  • Compliance reservation. Access may be limited, suspended, or restricted where necessary for legal, regulatory, or security reasons.
  • No financial reliance. The platform does not provide investment, legal, tax, or financial advice through wallet access.
Short-form terms summary
Use of JERT interfaces is permitted only for lawful and permitted purposes. Any attempt to misuse the platform, bypass security controls, infringe third-party rights, exploit technical vulnerabilities, or use the environment for prohibited conduct may result in access restriction or termination.
Acceptable Use

Operational Use Only

The environment is intended to support network operations, infrastructure coordination, and related service access. It must not be used in a manner that suggests public investment solicitation, unauthorized financial promotion, or unlawful jurisdictional targeting.

  • Prohibited conduct. Fraud, misrepresentation, unlawful use, abuse of APIs, credential sharing, or security interference.
  • Jurisdictional restrictions. Certain features may be unavailable where access would create legal or regulatory conflict.
  • Service evolution. Features may be modified, postponed, limited, or removed as the network develops.
  • Third-party dependencies. Some functions may rely on infrastructure providers, hosting providers, or blockchain environments outside direct control.

Privacy Policy

Minimal Data Logic. Technical Necessity. Responsible Processing.

JERT aims to follow a minimal-data approach. Information may be processed where necessary for website security, wallet functionality, technical diagnostics, service improvement, lawful compliance, and abuse prevention. The platform does not seek unnecessary personal data where it is not required for legitimate technical or legal reasons.

May include Technical logs, browser information, IP metadata, wallet interaction events, and security records.
Purpose Security, uptime, diagnostics, access control, lawful compliance, and abuse prevention.
Approach Minimization, necessity, proportionality, and controlled retention where appropriate.
Exclusions No unnecessary profiling, no broad commercial resale of user data, no excessive tracking logic by default.
Privacy summary
Data may be processed by JERT and relevant service providers strictly to operate the website and wallet environment, preserve security, investigate technical issues, comply with legal requirements, and maintain the integrity of the infrastructure platform. Retention periods should remain limited to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.
User-facing privacy points

Draft Legal Opinion

Supporting Document for the Infrastructure Usage Model

The draft legal opinion is presented as a supporting background document for the current legal framing of JERT. It is intended to assist partners, counterparties, reviewers, and legal advisors in understanding the infrastructure-based design logic of the network.

The draft may be updated, expanded, or replaced as the structure of the network evolves, applicable legal analysis develops, and jurisdiction-specific review is added.
